Recently the world’s 50 best restaurants awards announced the list of ‘world’s 50 best restaurants of Asia’. We are proud to announce that one of Bangkok’s restaurants, ‘Nahm’ bagged the 3rd position in the list. A total of 5 restaurants from Thailand won a position in the list.
The chef of ‘Nahm’, David Thompson is of Australian origin. It won’t be exaggeration if we said that he cooks Thai cuisine better than most natives themselves.
It is a realistic restaurant space with an ambiance of bare wooden tables and raw brick pillars that resembles the ancient Siam city of Ayutthaya. It is smartly situated at the ground floor of famous ‘The Metropolitan Hotel’ on the South Sathon Rd.
Thompson is a hard core Thai cuisine enthusiast who has researched through century-old cookbooks of various Thai matrons. He has unleashed mouth watering Thai delicacies through his restaurant that were long forgotten.
The other restaurants of Thailand to bag a position were:
10th – Gaggan, Bangkok
19th – Eat Me, Bangkok
29th – Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin, Bangkok
36th – Bo Lan, Bangkok
So now you know where to binge on some authentic and exotic Thai cuisine when in Bangkok. Get ready for a ‘Food Trip’.
