Team JTTJ wishes everyone a happy children’s day. Today that is 20th November the world celebrates a universal children’s day.
The First children’s day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954. The main agenda was to encourage all countries to appoint a day to celebrate childhood. This according to them was believed to create mutual exchange and understanding among children and initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world’s children.
November 20 is also happens to be the day when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959. The Convention on the Rights of the Child was then signed on the same date in 1989.
So pamper your children on this occasion, but not with extravagance of life. The best gift you can give a child id the gift of thought and time. Spend time with your children get to know them. Encourage your children to think and learn. Children are as it is gifted with innocence curiosity and creativity, but it is the ob of society to encourage and sustain these gifts.
We at JTTJ urge you to bring your little ones to Khao Kheow Open Zoo and teach them the value of appreciating life and our fellow earthians. Let’s teach our children the importance of nature, wildlife and its conservation for a united survival and let’s pledge to keep our inner child alive too. Happy Universal Children’s Day!!
