Recently Chonburi MP, ‘Khun Pan-sak Ket-wat-tha and the Director of the Zoo, Khun Su-ri-ya Saeng-pong including several other staffs participated in many activities at the Songkran Festival. This festival is celebrated as traditional New Year’s Day in Thailand. Activities at Khao Kheow Zoo began with procession of relics, replacement of yellow rob of the Buddha Image and processed with paying their respect to Chao-poo-khao-kheow statue.

The respective celebs and other staff carried on further by sprinkling water on Buddha’s picture. The elderly visitors and monks paid their respect praying for the better luck and prosperity. As mass of these visitors left the zoo people were overheard murmuring about how the entire visit was so delightful and that they would like to visit Khao Kheow Open Zoo.
